Hello, Skrill’s customer. I want to share my experience with Skrill. I am a Skrill user from Malaysia, I have been using Skrill seriously since January 2021.
What is Skrill?
Skrill is a digital wallet provider enabling a range of online payment and money transfer services.
Why I use Skrill?
I use skrill to purchase service and receive payment from Trafficwave.net.
My Experience with Skrill
1. Verifying skrill account
To verify my account, I upload my NRIC and Utility Bill. I was a little nervous when I did this, but I still did it.
2. Fee on every deposit transaction
Skrill will charge 2.5% on each deposit transaction. For example, If we want a deposit of RM166.05, the fee is RM4.05. If we want a deposit of RM20, the fee is RM.0.50.
3. The transaction failed first then succeeded
When I deposit money, I will fail the first time, but, I have succeeded on the second attempt.
4. Reading Skrill Review
Because I was still sceptical of Skrill, I took the time to read a review about Skrill. This is the review I read so far.
5. High Withdrawal Charge
I have withdrawn the money from my Skrill account which is RM85.24. I asked skrill to withdraw my money to Maybank, during withdrawal, I only received RM58.11 while the charge was RM27.13. This charge made me no longer use skrill, and I even uninstalled the application. When I read the charge rate for Visa debit cards, Skrill charges 7.50%. Read their Fees & Charges here.
I still use Skrill at the moment, although the charge is quite suffocating. But, on March 3, 2021, I stopped using Skrill, close my account, even uninstalled their application.
